New Isuzu D-Max Utah Luxe special edition joins the range

The Isuzu D-Max Utah Luxe pick-up gets a host cosmetic add-ons, but is limited to just 75 units

Isuzu has released the D-Max Utah Luxe. It’s a limited run special of its double cab pick-up that competes against the Mitsubishi L200, Ford Ranger and SsangYong Musso.

The Luxe adds a range of cosmetic changes to the Utah on which it’s based. On the outside it gets a set of 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, extra cladding on the front bumper and a bonnet guard. A tailgate-lift assist is included, which reduces the effort to open the hatch for the rear load bed by around 95 per cent. As with the Utah, there’s standard LED tail lights, silver roof bars, side steps and chrome trim on the door mirrors and rear bumper.

Inside, the Luxe adds a set of unique carpet mats. The rest of the standard kit list is the same as the D-Max Utah: air conditioning, keyless entry, a push button start, leather seats (heated in the front), a reversing camera and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are all included.

There’s seven exterior colours to choose from, but Isuzu would prefer you went for either a black, silver or white one if you’d be so kind.

The Luxe is available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox. Power comes from a 1.9-litre diesel engine that makes 162bhp and 360Nm of torque.

At £26,159 excluding VAT for the manual and £27,159, the extra goodies attached to the Luxe add £1,000 to the price of the D-Max Utah.
