One-off Aston Martin DB11 blasts into Henley Regatta
Aston Martin's 'Q' personalisation division shows what it can do with one-off car for royal regatta at Henley
Aston Martin has unwrapped a new one-off DB11 built to celebrate the firm’s association with the Henley Royal Regatta, and it’ll be on public show later this week when the 2017 meeting gets underway on Wednesday.
There’s nothing different under the skin about the Henley DB11, and nor does it feature any unique bodywork. Instead, it uses bespoke trim finishes chosen from the latest selection of Q personalisation items and touches, with the selections made by Aston Martin’s in house design team.
An eye-catching dark metallic red paint has been chosen for the bodywork, while the roof is finished in silver. Both the Carbon Fibre Body Pack and Exterior Pack have been selected, meaning that the front splitter, side sills and rear diffuser, plus the side strakes, hood blades and mirror caps are all finished with a satin carbon effect.
It rides on 20-inch gloss black wheels, while carbon fibre exhaust tips and darker, ‘smoked’ taillights are also fitted.
The red and black theme continues inside. The cabin is upholstered in metallic black leather, but with bespoke read leather flashes on the seats and doors. Contrasting red stitching also makes the cut, alongside black Alcantara headlining.
It’s not a bona-fide special edition model, and the bespoke Henley DB11 is more an example of what Aston’s Q division can do at a customer’s request.
