New Zenvo TSR-S arrives with 1,177bhp twin-supercharged V8 engine
Racing car technology and huge performance promised from new Zenvo TSR-S hypercar
Following its debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Danish supercar manufacturer Zenvo has announced full performance figures for the TSR-S hypercar.
The third car in Zenvo’s TS (Twin Supercharged) range, the TSR-S is the most extreme, powered by a twin-supercharged 5.8-litre V8 petrol engine with 1,177bhp and more than 1,100Nm of torque. Zenvo claims a 0-62mph time of 2.8 seconds, a 0-124mph time of 6.8 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 202mph.

Just five cars will be built per year following the TSR-S and while pricing has not yet been announced, a starting price of over £1,000,000 is expected. Each car is fully customisable and can be built to a customer’s exact specifications.
The TSR-S uses a wealth of racing car technology to achieve its impressive performance figures. Its engine features a flat plane crankshaft to achieve an 8500rpm redline and is mated to a seven-speed sequential gearbox with helical-cut dog gears, which the Danish firm claims to be ‘one of the fastest-shifting transmissions in existence’.
Built around a racing-style aluminium semi-monocoque chassis, the TSR-S’ bodywork is constructed entirely from carbon fibre. This can be finished with unique ‘watermark’ graphics below the material’s high-gloss finish as per the customer’s specification.
The car’s exterior is dominated by a suite of aggressive aero parts, not least its new ‘Zenvo Centripetal Wing’. According to Zenvo, the spoiler improves inner tyre grip and stability during cornering by rotating relative to the car’s longitudinal axis.
The wing also acts as an air brake and even, Zenvo claims, as an additional anti-roll bar thanks to its high pivot point. An LMP1 racing-inspired air scoop features at the rear of the car, along with a large rear diffuser. An aggressive splitter also features along with LED headlights at the front.
The racing car theme continues in the TSR-S’ stripped-out interior, which features lots of bare carbon surfaces, Alcantara trim and a pair of bespoke carbon fibre seats. As standard, there are no airbags, radio or infotainment system, but customers can ‘specify any level of equipment they desire’ according to Zenvo.
A 1980s-style horizontal rev counter features on the car’s redesigned instrument cluster, while black anodised aluminium trim pieces replace the usual CNC-machined precious metals found in other Zenvo models – although customers can choose any material they like when ordering.
