Hyundai has announced full pricing and spec details for its 2016 i20 range, including prices for its chunky i20 Active hatch. The Active will be priced from £15,225, while the rest of the range can benefit from the new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine from £14,025.

The new 1.0-litre T-GDi engine can also be had in the standard five-door and three-door i20 Coupe. In its most efficient form here, it manages 65.7mpg and emits 99g/km of CO2. It's only available on SE spec and above, and that £14,025 starting is £400 more than the old 1.4.

The i20 also gets a more powerful 118bhp version of the 1.0-litre engine from £15,525, which sees fuel economy drop to 58.9mpg combined. For 2016, the i20 SE also gets a DAB radio as standard, while 'Nav' models get TomTom's Live traffic services.
