Jaguar's Heritage Driving Experience lets you drive classic Jags
Jaguar has launched a driving experience day with a difference: you get to drive some of the rarest classic Jaguars in existence
For the first time in its history, Jaguar will be allowing buyers to drive some of the most unique models in its classic heritage collection. the Jaguar Heritage Driving Experience includes models such as the Le Mans D-Type racing car, various E-Types, and the XKSS from the 1950s.
There is also the option to drive the new Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, as well as many other classics that are being driven by the public for the first time. The events are held at Jaguar's new 200-acre testing facility in Warwickshire.
The new Jaguar driving experiences offered are the result of the British firm purchasing over 500 heritage classics from a private collector. Jaguar then fully prepared the cars, some of them over 70 years old, for regular driving by lucky punters.
The half and full-day experience packages, available from November, will cost from £95 up to £2,000 depending on what you drive and for how long.
The most basic Jaguar Experience is up to £250 depending on your choice of vehicles and offers passenger rides or drives in cars like the XK150, Mark 2 saloon and E-Types from Series 1 to Series 3. You can also drive them alongside their modern counterparts, such as the XF and F-Type.
The Le Mans Experience, from £750, includes drives in the legendary C and D-Type racers from the 1950s. You also get a go behind the wheel of an XKSS and an F-Type R Coupe.
£2,000 gets you the Grace and Pace experience, a full day of driving all of the above cars and more, plus guided viewings of Jaguar's 'Perfect 10' rarest and best models, including the priceless XJ13 and the ultra-rare SS100.
