Bespoke Land Rover Defender pedal car revealed
Amongst the shiny new metal at Frankfurt, Land Rover has revealed something for the little ones
Land Rover is on a roll at the minute, with the recently-launched Discovery Sport proving popular and the Evoque still in demand following a refresh – but that doesn’t mean the British firm is going to take things easy.
With the car range growing and appealing to a wider variety of customers than ever before, Land Rover is ready to seize on any opportunity to branch out and that's where this new Defender pedal car comes in. Yes, the Land Rover experience is now available to those too small even climb into cars in the current line-up without a parental leg up.
Debuting at the Frankfurt Motor Show, this Defender pedal car concept has been created to celebrate 60 years of the iconic Defender and is being marketed as a collectors’ piece for true Land Rover aficionados. Land Rover’s usual rugged build quality and attention to detail can be found even on this dinky off-roader, with the same Loire Blue paintwork found on the full-size Defender, while the interior is trimmed in tan leather.
The Defender pedal car features spring suspension and functioning brakes, plus it even has a parking brake to help your three-year-old when pulling away up a steep incline.
You'd want all those features though because the production version of this Defender pedal car is expected to retail at around £10,000, enough to get you a decent used Defender with a fully operational engine.
