Overfinch marks anniversary by dragging LR's Defender upmarket
Overfinch has been around for 40 years now, and to celebrate it's revealed a run of upgraded Land Rover Defenders
The Land Rover Defender's epic proiduction run ends this year and Overfinch is celebrating its 40th year of tweaking Land Rovers - so to mark both events, the London-based firm has revealed a special edition version of the off-roader that's about as posh as a Defender can get.
Only five examples of the Overfinch Defender 40th Anniversary edition will be built, each with a numbered plaque and a range of extra features. The special edition Defender gets an Overfinch bonnet and grille, with LED daytime running lights and spot lamps to make sure nobody on Kensington High Street can fail to look at you.
You also get a detailed aluminium fuel cap, chequered plating on the sills and revamped door handles. There's some more useful kit, including a rear step and a powered tow bar.
New 18-inch alloy wheels and Overfinch branding complete the exterior transformation, while inside the car gets leather trim details around the cabin and Recaro sports seats. The pedals are aluminium too, matching the fuel filler cap.
A sat-nav system is included, plus DAB radio and a reversing camera. If you're interested in buying one of these pumped-up Defenders, you'll need to set aside around £70,000.
