Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe Edition 1 unveiled
Merc announces special Edition 1 variant of hot C-Class Coupe, set to debut at Frankfurt show with striking colour scheme
Mercedes has revealed a striking Edition 1 variant of its new C 63 AMG Coupe. Available from March as an option with the C 63 or C 63 S spec, it brings racy styling add-ons, a unique paint scheme and performance interior upgrades.
The Edition 1 is launched alongside Mercedes' new DTM racing car based on the C 63, and bears some resemblance to it. As with the AMG GT sports car, the Edition 1 upgrades are mainly styling related, and can be had with either the 469bhp standard 4.0-litre V8, or the flagship 'S' with 503bhp.

Unique to the C 63 Edition 1 'S' is the Magno Selenite paintwork with bold yellow film coating as a full-length body stripe as well as on the doors, wheels and mirrors. Yellow-painted calipers for the standard-fit ceramic performance brakes also feature. The alloy wheels themselves are of a lightweight matt-black forged design; 19-inch on the front and 20-inch at the rear.
The standard C 63 Edition 1 is available with graphite grey stripes and styling details instead. Both get a gloss black aero package which includes a new front spoiler, specific side skirts, a rear diffuser and beefier rear spoiler. The AMG Night Package is also available on the car.
