Updates for Mercedes C-Class on the way in 2017
Spy shots show new headlights for Mercedes C-Class saloon, with more changes in the pipeline
Mercedes is already planning a round of updates for the C-Class compact executive saloon , with our spies catching this undisguised model near the German brand's Stuttgart factory.
While the spy shots only show the car's updated headlight designs and minor front bumper reshaping, it's expected that the facelift will incorporate new taillights as well as a refreshed bumper design at the rear and a few upgrades for the interior as well.
There's no information on the changes yet, but we expect that the C-Class will get some more features from the latest E-Class like the wide twin-display screens in more expensive models and possibly a new sound system.
It's unlikely that there will be too many changes to the engine range, but it's possible that the efficient new 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel from the E-Class will make its way into the smaller car, replacing the ageing 2.1-litre unit in the current model.
The facelifted Mercedes C-Class probably won't appear until mid-2017, but expect prices to remain broadly similar, starting from around £27,000.
