The previous Mercedes S-Class was the Best Luxury Car for seven years running and the new model could easily repeat that as it takes the prize for the second year.

<span>The Magic Ride option on the S-Class&nbsp;take refinement even further, using cameras to scan the road ahead and automatically adjusting the springs and dampers to cope&nbsp;with imperfections.</span>

While the S-Class&nbsp;majors on comfort, this hassn’t come at the expense of agility. The steering is quick and well weighted, plus there’s lots of grip. Sport mode stiffens the standard adaptive dampers to reduce body roll.&nbsp;
