Has the new season given you a taste to take a hot lap in an F1 race car? Well, now you can in a new driving experience at Silverstone, for less than £60.

The company behind the Northants venue’s driving experiences has modified a 3.7-litre V6 Ford Cyclone Hypersonic to allow a passenger to sit behind a professional driver. The car can accelerate from 0-60mph in only three seconds and hit speeds of up to 150mph.

You get 20 minutes in the car, around either the National or International circuit. Better still, you don’t need to hold a driving licence and there’s no minimum age; you just need to be between four foot six and six foot three inches tall, and weigh less than 16 stone.

Choose from a number of dates between now and July, and the entire experience, including the briefing, is £59.
