Get high-performance thrills on a small scale with Lego. The firm’s Technic Supercar package has an eye-watering 1,200 pieces – and we set about putting it all together.
The directions are fairly straightforward, even if they are spread out across three instruction books. As long as you lay the pieces out before you start, you should soon have the car built. We took our time, spending eight hours across a few evenings.
The attention to detail is incredible – the V8 engine has working pistons, and the electric motor not only opens and closes the doors, but slides out the spoiler and opens the bonnet, too.
Our only gripe is that the car isn’t licenced – it would be great if it was a Ferrari or Aston Martin. Still, you can get instructions from the Web to build a hot rod alternative.
