Auto Finesse Crystal Glass Cleaner

Can new glass cleaner make its benefit crystal clear?

Auto Finesse Crystal Glass Cleaner

Price: £6.95 (250ml)

Wipe bird muck and sat-nav smears off your windscreen with the newest detailing product from Auto Finesse. Crystal Glass Cleaner has a super-strong formula to shift even the toughest of marks, so we put it through its paces.

We tried the £6.95 250ml bottle, although a 500ml pack is available for £9.95. The trigger for the spray is small and awkward to use, but dispenses enough fluid in a single squirt to remove smears.

You’ll need to make sure you secure the small cap in order to prevent spillages in the car when it’s stored, and we found the locking mechanism fiddly to use. Still, the cleaner’s performance was great, and we didn’t need to use much at all to remove bird lime from our windscreen.

Simply spray on to the window, wipe a cloth over the muck, then turn the fabric and buff the glass to a shine. Crystal doesn’t smear, either. The only drawback to the new formula is its overpowering chemical
smell, which means you won’t want to use it in a confined cabin space.

Verdict

Rating: ★★★

A new glass cleaner from a detailer which claims to make your glass shine.
Problems?
Strong chemical smell, small trigger, fiddly cap.
Why buy?
Effective cleaner, you don’t need much to work.
