Bullet Polish and Protectant
Polish has been imported from the USA, so we test to see if it's able to cope with UK weather conditions
Price: £25 (for full kit)
It’s the go-anywhere polish that proved its worth in the US – but how does it fare in the UK?
Bullet Polish and Protectant didn’t get off to the best of starts, as the plain bottle doesn’t compare to the colourful packs of rivals. But we were more interested in how the product performed.
We opted for the £25 kit, which comes with two cloths, a trigger spray bottle and 118ml of the polish; you can buy the latter on its own for £20.
The formula isn’t ready to use straight away, though, as the instructions state that you have to dilute it first, and purified bottled water is recommended. We did this before applying it to our car, but it was a simple process.
The liquid went on to our panel easily, before we wiped it and then buffed to reveal an impressive shine. We then repeated this process to add depth to the finish. The polish doesn’t deliver on its claim to remove fine scratches, but it can also be used on windows, where it left a smear-free finish, plastics, chrome and even leather.
Six weeks later, our bodywork was still beading water, if rather slowly.
