Carrera Evolution Morgan set

Price: £99.99

Great news for slot car fans – Morgan’s gone miniature! Track maker Carrera has been licensed by the British firm to produce scale replicas and a circuit.

Marking Morgan’s 100th year, the set includes two cars – a 2008 Aeromax and Morgan Plus 8 – a transformer, triggers and barriers, plus eight curves and nine straights to style into a classic track.

The kit also comes with mounts to create a bridge over the start/finish line. Spares are available for breakages, or you can buy parts to personalise your set.

Although only two can race at a time, you can buy The Upgrade Kit for Evolution – a digital conversion which allows up to six drivers on track simultaneously.

The upgrade will also power headlamps on suitable cars, giving you the chance to shine while night-time racing in your living room.

The single-handed accelerator triggers are simple to use – so the only thing you’ll be left to worry about is how much power to give it going into the first corner!

 * Maker’s claim: “The Carrera Morgan set combines two cult cars in absolute premium quality and supreme detail on a figure-of-eight track.”
