7. De-icer

De-icer

Rather than using a credit card to scrape ice off your car glass and screen – and inevitably snapping it – get yourself a scraper instead. They cost only few pounds, and often include a blade to shift moisture.

When it comes to de-icers, trigger packs are usually the most cost-effective. For a quick getaway in the morning, apply a ‘night before’ version, or place a newspaper on the glass.
