Headlamps

Check all your lights are working and that there are no cracks or leaks in the lenses.

Even if your headlights are functioning, bulbs lose brightness over time, so you may need to replace them.

Top of the upgrade bulbs is Philips’ X-treme, but also consider Ring’s XenonMax, which claims to be 100 per cent brighter than standard lamps.

Expect to pay around £25 a pair to upgrade.
