Mio Navman Spirit V575 UK

Price: £109.99 Traffic? TMC

There’s no TMC aerial, and the slim Mio is easier to use than the RAC 2000, thanks to its colourful menus and simple maps. The robotic female voice sounds identical to the one on the Garmin 2240, but that’s where the similarities end. While it’s easy to type on the touchscreen, the Spirit is held back by its large bezel, 20-second Glasgow routing time and lack of speed limit-breaking warnings. Still, the wrong turn reroute took only five seconds, and the widescreen is better than budget rivals’ square displays. But it doesn’t have the multiple routing options of the Navigon 20 Easy, despite costing £30 more.
