Griffin CinemaSeat

Budget buy

When we first tested the Griffin CinemaSeat, we complained it was too expensive. But in comparison to its rival from Nextbase, it’s excellent value. The mount attaches with Velcro, so there’s no screwing needed, but there’s no adjustment, either.

The case is fabric, not hard plastic, which means it’s lighter than the Nextbase, but not as well made. And when you park, you can slip the iPad out, but you have to leave the holder on display.

We’d prefer the Nextbase, as it’s out of sight from thieves. But all buttons are easily accessible with the Griffin and you can plug in your own charger and headphones, too.
