Romain Jerome DeLorean-DNA watch
DeLorean watch mimics the 1980s gullwing sports car and costs almost £10,000
The legendary DeLorean DMC-12 sports car is making a comeback, with an all-electric version due next year. And Swiss watch maker Romain Jerome has launched this new chronograph to celebrate.
The 46mm DeLorean-DNA watch has a brushed stainless steel exterior, like the DMC-12. One of the chronograph dials (with the second counter) recalls the tail-lights, while the other has been designed to resemble the car’s alloy wheels. A black leather strap also mimics the DMC-12’s upholstery, with its anthracite grey stitching.
But being a DNA watch, Romain Jerome has included actual pieces of metal from the DeLorean in the bezel.
On the back of the case is an engraving of the car with its sensational gullwing doors open. The watch is water-resistant to 30 metres, and has satin-brushed hands.
Production of the car began in 1981, and only 81 DeLorean-DNA watches will be made. Each will set you back just under £10,000.
