You can run the 12 LEDs in this Silverline torch in three modes, but even at the maximum the beam is short on punch. The lack of light is compounded by the narrow nature of the beam, which again forces you to turn your head a lot. Comfort is okay, but this is one of the heavier units on test and moves a little. The cracking price is compromised by the fact that the batteries don’t come supplied.
