Promising 120 per cent more light, these Alite-made lamps should have topped the lower-rated Ring xenonmax, but they fell short. Consistency was the problem here – one bulb rated nearly 20 points lower, with a dark spot at the 75-metre point accounting for around half the deficit. The better lamp was good enough to push for a podium place, with a well directed beam reaching down the road well.
