Forza Motorsport 6: release date, new features and car list

Driving game fans across the planet are working themselves up into a frenzy as the launch of Forza Motorsport 6 draws ever nearer. The latest instalment in Turn 10’s blockbusting Forza Motorsport series is due for release on September 15th 2015 but fans can pre-order their copies now.

Forza Motorsport 6 will be released exclusively on Microsoft’s Xbox One game console and we’ve been given a sneak preview of the graphics by the trailer below.

Turn 10 has revealed Forza Motorsport 6 at the E3 video game conference in Los Angeles. As a result, we now have a great idea of how it will look as well as a track line-up for the game and details of a car list that will include the likes of the new Ford GT and Ferrari’s LaFerrari.

With more than 450 cars to collect and customise, owners of the game can race their way through 26 world-famous driving environments including Brands Hatch, Le Mans, and the streets of Rio de Janeiro.

Additionally, for the first time, racing can occur at night and in the rain to further add to the realistic racing experience. Aquaplaning and wet rumble strips will now be an added factor while racing and attempting to avoid spectacular crashes. It means racers will have to allow for differing levels of grip, not just reduced visibility in low light levels. More than 70 hours of gameplay is on offer for those in Forza Motorsport 6 career mode.

Forza 6 bundles available to pre-order now

Forza Motorsport 6 is available to pre-order now, with three digital bundles available to choose from. The official release date is September 15th.

Forza Motorsport 6 Standard Edition

This Forza Motorsport 6 bundle includes both the game, a pre-order bonus car, and the Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack.

Forza Motorsport 6 Deluxe Edition

This Deluxe Edition features the game, a pre-order bonus car, the Ten Year Anniversary Car pack, the first Forza Motorsport DLC Car Pack on launch day, and VIP Membership. VIP members.

Forza Motorsport 6 Ultimate Edition

The most comprehensive edition of the series consists of all the features found on the Deluxe Edition, but will additionally include the Forza Motorsport 6 Car Pass. Owners of this edition will be granted early access to play Motorsport 6 before the launch date of 15th September 2015.

Forza Motorsport 6 bundle details

The pre-order bonus car will be the 2015 Mazda Team Forza MX-5. Additionally, everyone who pre-orders a digital bundle will receive 14 new cars for use in Forza Horizon 2 for Xbox One at no additional charge.

The Ten year Anniversary Pack features cars inspired by all the cover cars of the previous Forza games, featuring their own custom liveries and being tuned to the top of their class.

The first Forza Motorsport 6 DLC Car Pack will feature a lineup of cars from the Fast & Furious film franchise and is not included as part of the Forza Motorsport 6 Car Pass.

VIP Members qualify to receive five exclusive cars (including the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R), double race earnings, and access to exclusive online events and gifts. 

The Forza Motorsport 6 Car Pass will include six monthly car packs beginning in October 2015. These packs will equate to a total of 42 cars to add to your garage.
