Explore practicality

Offering excellent interior space, the new Ford Explorer provides a level of flexibility that’s so important for family life. A true five-seater, you’ll experience complete comfort in the Explorer from front to back, with enough shoulder room and plenty of foot space for passengers thanks to the flat floor across the rear. The boot delivers a useful 470 litres of luggage capacity*, although Ford engineers haven’t stopped there; handy bag hooks, a 12V socket and a moveable boot floor also feature, while the rear seats fold almost flat to open up a vast load space.

Sometimes the most simple ideas are the best, and the Explorer’s MegaConsole is a real plus point at the centre of the cabin. Featuring 17 litres of space, the extendable storage compartment has enough capacity for a large handbag, a laptop and multiple 1.5-litre drinks bottles - so it’s easy to keep things tidy inside, and more evidence that Ford is focused on every detail to make life on the road that bit easier.

A tailored list of optional equipment means you can choose additional kit that suits your lifestyle, including a retractable tow bar (Explorer offers a towing capability of up to 1.2 tonnes), a heat pump to maximise range on colder mornings, and a Driver Assistance Pack which brings useful items such as a head-up display, a 360-degree parking camera and Active Park Assist technology.

Explore comfort

True comfort begins before you slide behind the wheel, and with features such as cabin preconditioning, a hands-free automatic power tailgate and keyless entry, the new Explorer is primed and ready for the day ahead.

You’ll find the Explorer’s cabin a real sanctuary, offering a calm, relaxing space that insulates you from the hustle and bustle of life on the road. Sensico leather-free upholstery brings a smart, sophisticated feel, and a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function means you’ll have no trouble finding a comfortable driving position.

Other luxury touches include a heating and massage function for the driver and front passenger seat, along with a panoramic roof that bathes the cabin in light, while intelligent adaptive cruise control helps to alleviate some of the driving stress that can accumulate on longer journeys. And, for those interested in creating a soundtrack for the ultimate road trip, there’s an immersive B&O™ 10‑speaker audio system featuring a subwoofer in an integrated soundbar that runs along the top of the dash.

Explore freedom

Any family EV has to deliver a practical, all-electric range, alongside fast-charging capability to keep you on the move. The new Ford Explorer is ready to go, managing up to 374 miles** from a full charge, and with high-speed DC (150 kW) public chargers you can gain 107 miles of range in just 10 minutes.***

Choose your new Explorer in either Standard or Extended Range form, depending on which suits your lifestyle best, while investing in a home charging solution gives you more control over costs and increases overall flexibility - supplying hassle-free charging overnight for the following day’s driving. Plus, there’s the advantage of using the Ford BlueOval Charge Network, with over 32,000 AC and DC public charging points across the UK and a network of over 600,000 points across Europe.

An electrifying choice

Add the personal touch to your Explorer, with the option of either Select or Premium specifications. A generous level of standard equipment includes a 14.6-inch vertical touchscreen running Ford’s Sync Move infotainment system, wireless smartphone charging and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, although if you’re in the mood for a few extra luxuries then the Premium trim level, including LED ambient lighting, a panoramic roof and full Sensico upholstery could be the perfect match. Whatever you choose, there’s an Explorer out there waiting for you.
