New Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition unveiled by brand’s Q division

Q by Aston Martin has given the premium DBX SUV an F1-inspired makeover

The surprise of the F1 season so far has undoubtedly been Aston Martin and to celebrate its success on track, the Gaydon firm has launched the new Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition.

A luxury-focused DBX SUV might seem like a strange choice for an F1 themed special edition, but the DBX is also Formula One’s official medical car, sitting alongside the Aston Martin Vantage safety car in the race organiser’s garage. The 707 version of the DBX is also one of the fastest SUVs you can buy right now.

The amendments made to the DBX707 AMR23 Edition were done by Aston Martin’s in-house ‘bespoke service’, Q by Aston Martin. Podium Green paint is exclusive to the AMR23 Edition, along with some new Q by Aston Martin badges and Racing Green brake calipers. As a nod to the F1 car’s livery, lime green accents have been added to the 707’s bodykit.

Inside the AMR23 Edition there’s more of that lime colour from the upholstery stitching, plus Eifel Green and black leather on the seats. A new AMR23 logo has been added to the door sills.

Aston Martin hasn’t fiddled with the powertrain, not that it needed changing much anyway. There’s a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 under the bonnet with 697bhp and 900Nm of torque. Power is sent through a nine-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels for a 0-62mph time of 3.3 seconds. No other SUV can currently beat the 707’s 193mph top speed.

The AMR23 Edition is available to order now, although pricing hasn’t been revealed. Given that the base DBX 707 costs from  £190,000, we expect this special edition to go well over £200,000.
