Aston Martin Works 60th Anniversary Vanquish revealed
Limited edition Vanquish marks 60 years of Aston Martin Works, only six to be produced
Aston Martin Works is marking its 60th anniversary by producing a limited edition Vanquish. Only six bespoke models will be built, with Coupe or Volante versions up for grabs. Built with a helping hand from Aston’s personalisation service ‘Q by Aston Martin’, each model will be tailored to suit individual buyer’s needs. Immediately distinguished by unique colour schemes, all models will also feature bespoke interior dials with rotaries crafted from old pistons from iconic Aston’s which span the 60 years.
The six pistons have been drawn from a model from each of the six decades. Models include the DB 2/4 Mk II saloon, DB5, V8 Coupe, V8 Vantage X-pack, V8 Vantage supercharged and the Original Vanquish. Work’s Anniversary wording is then laser etched onto each of the dials. Other exclusive detailing includes yellow accents on the side vents and alloy wheels, black and white centre seat panels, unique sill plaques and decorative yellow stitching.
Like the standard Vanquish, each of the six limited edition models will feature the same 576bhp 6.0-litre V12 engine and eight-speed automatic gearbox. Enough power to complete 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 200mph. Pricing is yet to be announced but we’d expect a significant premium over the standard £192,995 Coupe and £204,995 Volante. Aston Martin Works is the original historic home of the British brand. Around 15,000 cars were hand-built at Newport Pagnell in Buckinghamshire between 1955 and 2007 before production was moved to Aston’s new home at Gaydon, Warwickshire.
