Audi A5 2.0 TDIe launched
The Audi A5 Coupe and Sportback range has grown, with the addition of an efficient TDIe engine
Audi has announced the addition of a new ultra-efficient four-cylinder diesel engine to its A5 model range.
The 2.0-litre TDIe unit is available in two power outputs, 134bhp and 161bhp. The former is only available for the Sportback and is capable of average fuel economy of 64.2mpg, emits 117g/km of CO2 and can reach 62mph in 9.5 seconds.
The more powerful engine manages 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds (8.4 seconds for the Coupe), and returns 62.8mpg and 118g/km of CO2 (64.2mpg and 115g/km respectively for the Coupe). Both options come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
The new engine is on sale now, starting from £27,320 for the Sportback and £28,775 for the Coupe with the 161bhp TDIe.
Audi has also introduced a new trim level, which is available now on all four-cylinder TDI models.
SE Technik trim comes with DVD Navigation, iPod connection, parking sensors and cruise control on top of standard SE specification. It is available for a £1000 premium on the Sportback and £500 on the Coupe.
