<span>All models of the Q5 get three-zone climate control, Bluetooth phone connection, a DAB radio and leather seat trim as standard. B<span>uild quality is typically great, but the dashboard design is beginning to age.</span></span>
Despite all models featuring Audi’s trademark quattro four-wheel drive system as standard, the Q5 feels more at home on the road than scrabbling around on muddy tracks.

<span>The 3.0-litre TDI engine on the Q5 benefits from Audi's seven-speed S-tronic automatic transmission as standard. This is an optional extra on the 2.0-litre diesel.</span>
<span>For most buyers, the 2.0-litre TDI engines will offer the best blend of performance and economy. The entry-level 148bhp unit already feels muscular enough, but the 175bhp version feels even more effortless.</span>

<span>The interior of the Q5 is reasonably practical too, with space for five adults and plenty of storage areas. A</span> sliding rear bench is available as an option.
<span>The Audi Q5 offers 540 litres of boot space, expanding to 1,560 litres with the rear seats folded. This level of volume sits in between the XC60 and BMW X3.</span>
