New Audi RS 5 Sportback joins line-up in New York
The new Audi RS 5 Sportback will arrive in the UK in the summer, using the same 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 found in the coupe
Another high-performance RS model is joining the Audi Sport fold in the form of the RS 5 Sportback. It has been officially revealed at the 2018 New York Motor Show ahead of going on sale in the UK this summer.

Like the RS 5 Coupe, a twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6 producing 444bhp and 600Nm of torque is under the bonnet. And as with the coupe, the Sportback has a 0-62mph time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 174mph if the 155mph limiter is removed.
Trademark RS design changes give it a sportier edge than the S5 Sportback, with a black honeycomb grille and more aggressive front apron. A large diffuser and two oval exhaust tips are found at the back, plus a small lip spoiler on the bootlid. Under the wider wheelarches there are 19-inch wheels as standard, with 20-inch alloys on the options list.
Inside, quilted, RS-branded sports seats are added up front, and are joined by an RS-badged steering wheel.
Order books for the RS 5 Sportback open this summer. It’s likely to be priced the same as the coupe at £63,575 – because that’s currently the case with the S5 Coupe and Sportback.
