Audi TT RS plus
The more powerful 355bhp Audi TT RS plus goes on sale in the UK
The Audi TT RS plus is now available to order in the UK, with prices ranging from £48,945 to £52,265 with an automatic 'box.
The most powerful Audi TT produces 355bhp from its 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine, which is 20bhp more than the standard TT RS. Torque is also up 15Nm to 465Nm.
Offered in both the Coupe and Roadster body styles, the changes make the TT RS plus has a top speed of 174mph - 19mph more than the regular TT RS. It also shaves two-tenths from the TT RS Coupe’s 0-62mph time, which is now 4.1 seconds with the optional S tronic transmission and 4.3 with the six-speed manual.
The TT RS plus Roadster hits 62mph in 4.4 seconds with the manual and 4.2 seconds in S tronic form.
It comes fitted with a larger exhaust system (an option on the regular TT RS) as well as 19-inch ‘Rotor’ alloy wheels, a matt aluminium grille and mesh inserts. There are carbon mirrors, while lifting the bonnet will reveal a carbon engine cover, too. A pair of menacing black oval exhaust tips finish the look at the rear.
Inside, the TT RS plus also has more equipment with sat-nav, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity - which is usually a £1,525 Technology Pack option - fitted as standard, alongside the usual Nappa leather and TT RS flat-bottom steering wheel.
Fuel economy is unchanged, with the S tronic versions the most efficient with a best of 33.2mpg and 197g/k of CO2 for the coupe.
The TT RS plus starts at £48,945 and is on sale now, for deliveries in the summer.
