"These are fascinating times to be reporting on the car industry and car culture as a whole, as the car industry and society in general begins to pivot towards EV technology – too fast for some, and not soon enough for others. Chris Rosamond Q&A…

Q: What was your first car?

A: Either a 1963 Vauxhall Cresta PB or a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda fastback, both acquired around the time I passed my driving test. £60 and £75 respectively, and both runners!

Q: What is your dream car?

A: Today I’d like a 1964 Cadillac Coupe DeVille convertible, please, or a 1930s Alfa 8C Le Mans.

Q: If you could change one thing about cars, driving or the car industry today what would it be?

A: I’d wind the clock back to the summer of 1973, just before the first oil crisis hit. Empty roads, cheap gas and fabulous cars.
