Buying a convertible is a choice of the heart, but an E-Class Convertible can also appeal to the head. The soft-top is based on the coupé, which in turn is based on the last-generation E-Class saloon, and there are some bargains to be found in these cold winter months.
We spotted a petrol-powered E200 Convertible for just under £13,000 in the classifieds. Although the 1.8-litre engine won’t set the world on fire, it’s enough to propel the Mercedes in comfort while returning lower running costs than more expensive models.
