This is the Bugatti Chiron Noire. It’s a special edition version of the French brand’s world-beating hypercar, which pays homage to the long-lost 1938 Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic. Priced at €3 million (around £2.56 million), the Chiron Noire features a range of styling revisions, the most notable being its exposed carbon fibre bodywork. Just 20 examples will be built.

Available in two specifications, the Chiron Noire Élégance is more comfort-focussed, featuring gloss-finish carbon fibre panelling, unique ‘Caractère’ alloy wheels, black brake calipers and an updated radiator grille bearing an exclusive black enamel badge. The underside of the Chiron’s active rear spoiler also sports a “Noire” inscription.

The Chiron Noire Sportive is the sports-focussed alternative to the Noire Élégance, and features matte-finish carbon fibre bodywork, an updated radiator grille, a new front splitter and alloy wheels, all finished in matte black. The car’s quad-exit titanium exhaust is also finished in black, along with parts of the engine cover.

Inside, both models are finished with black upholstery, black buttons and controls, and headrests embroidered with the “Noire” emblem. There’s an additional carbon badge set into the centre armrest and a pair of special edition “Noire” treadplates.

The Chiron Noire Élégance and Noire Sportive are powered by the standard Chiron’s quad-turbocharged 8.0-litre W16 engine, which produces 1,479bhp and 1,600Nm of torque. Power is fed to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which offers a 0–62mph time of around 2.5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 261mph.

Owners of the standard-issue Bugatti Chiron Sport can choose to upgrade their cars to the “Noire” specification of their choice for an additional €100,000 ( £85,000). First deliveries are expected to arrive during the second half of 2020.
