Goodwood debut for the new VUHL 05RR track car
VUHL has unleashed the new VUHL 05RR track car at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed
If you're at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year, you'll get the chance to see the lighter, faster, track-focused younger brother of the VUHL 05, a car that was extremely fast and light in the first place.
The VUHL 05, which is now on sale in the UK, is the road legal lightweight racer that was first launched by the Mexican firm at Goodwood in 2013, but now the new VUHL 05RR has been revealed for the first time within the Michelin Supercar Paddock. It will also take on the famous Goodwood Hill climb, with UK rising star GP2 driver and Formula 1 test driver, Jordan King, behind the wheel.

At the Goodwood festival this year, which takes place on the 23-26 June, VUHL will give the full details on its latest creation. However, we already know that the new 05RR is the result of extensive track development of the 05, combined with ‘major mass reduction and aero programmes’. VUHL has worked closely with its partner suppliers' engineering teams to ensure the best quality for the follow-up to the 05.
The 05RR will take part in the new 'Race Cars for the Road' category at Goodwood, and will be positioned above the standard VUHL 05. Still road legal, VUHL promises that the 05RR will retain a number of comfort options to ensure enjoyable and useable on-road performance.
