Makes N-Z at the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed
Nissan
Record breaking is the name of the game for Nissan. Stunt driver Terry Grant will be gunning for two unusual milestones in the Leaf and Juke. Firstly, in the Leaf, he will attempt the fastest-ever ascent of the hill route – in reverse. Then Grant will try to tackle the same strip of tarmac in the Juke – on two wheels.
Peugeot
Visit the Peugeot stand to explore the 308 CC, RCZ Asphalt special edition and 508 – as well as take a look around the 3008 Hybrid4, the world’s first diesel-electric hybrid.
Take a glimpse at the firm’s future with its HR1 concept and get up close with its 908 Le Mans 24 Hours racer.
Porsche
Old and new will be coming together at Porsche. The Panamera Turbo S makes its public debut on the hillclimb, accompanied by the sensational GT3 RS 4.0 and GT2 RS, while the Lohner-Porsche Semper Vivus hybrid from 1900 is also on show.
Renault
Located in the FoS-Tech pavilion – an area showcasing the future of motoring – is Renault’s Captur concept. Elsewhere, ex-GP star Rene Arnoux will be going flat-out in the RS01 – the first F1 car to be powered by a turbo engine.
Rolls-Royce
Keep your eyes peeled for Rolls-Royces, because you certainly won’t be able to hear them. Wafting silently around at the Moving Motor Show will be the Brit manufacturer’s 102EX – an all-electric Phantom with the biggest battery pack of any electric car in the world.
SEAT
It promises to be a memorable debut appearance for SEAT. The IBE electric coupé will be stationed in the FoS-Tech tent, while the firm is sponsoring the Goodwood Action Sports (GAS) arena – featuring demos by 20 top BMX and mountain bike riders and motorcyclists.
Skoda
A number of rarely seen cars will be running up the hillclimb, including the 1100 OHC Spider. With only two models in existence, this is a rare treat for motorsport fans. Visitors can experience the full range of cars during the Moving Motor Show, and Skoda is sponsoring the forest rally stage.
Vauxhall
Making a surprise debut is the three-door Astra GTC, which will grace the hill two months ahead of its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The Ampera is on display in the FoS-Tech pavilion, while GM’s futuristic EN-V will make its European driving debut.
Volvo
It’s a tuning fest for Volvo, as it sends the 400bhp Polestar C30 up the hill, along with mildly tuned Polestar versions of the S60 D5, C30 T5 and V60 T6. On its stand will be the WTCC C30 and all-electric C30, as well as a P1800 coupé – a car celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
VW
Nurburgring 24 Hours star Johnny Herbert will be launching up the hill in the Golf 24 racer. Also in action will be a 1979 MkI Golf GTI, while an original 1951 split-screen Beetle lines up at the Cartier Style et Luxe Concours.
