Damien Hurst Mini

A British design classic turned into a piece of art, thanks to Damien Hirst...

Mini

Here's a Mini that's easy to spot! Definitely one for art lovers, this Mini was modified by Damien Hirst – he of the shark-in-formaldehyde fame – and was covered in a host multi-coloured spots, just like his  spot paintings. The model was decorated by Hirst and then donated to the Serpentine Gallery back in 2000, where it was put in a charity auction to celebrate the gallery's 30th anniversary. Little is known about what happened to the car, but it was thought to have been put on display at the Saatchi gallery too.
