Chevrolet Impala unveiled
The Chevrolet Impala is the backbone of firm's US sales, and the latest version has been launched at New York
Chevrolet has launched the tenth-generation Impala at the New York Motor Show. The large four-door saloon is a crucial model for the firm, as it's the company's best-seller in the US.
The range is similar to what you'll find on Chevy's UK range, with LT, LS and LTZ models offered. But unlike UK cars, the engine range is pure petrol, comprising a 2.5-litre four-cylinder, a 2.4-litre four-cylinder hybrid and a 3.6-litre V6. All cars are front-wheel drive and come with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Inside the Impala gets 10 airbags as standard, a 4.2-inch colour display which can be upgraded to an eight-inch touchscreen, while radar cruise control, blind-spot detection and collision mitigation braking are all offered.
The Chevrolet Impala goes on sale in the US early in 2013.
