Citroen e-c4

Citroën understands what makes a great family and business car. The ë-C4 prioritises space and comfort, without forsaking style, and all in a usefully compact package. Read on to find out how the ë-C4 can fit seamlessly into your family life.

More power, more range, with ë-C4’s latest EV powertrains

The ë-C4 is the dedicated EV-powered version of Citroën's advanced, stylish and comfort-oriented C4 hatchback, and is now available with two levels of powertrain. Choose from a 136hp motor in combination with a 50kWh battery, offering 223 miles of range*, or the new 156hp motor in conjunction with a 54kWh battery that offers up to 260 miles of range*, available on Max and e-Series trim levels. Both batteries are compatible with up to 100kw DC rapid charging, meaning they can be charged from 20-80% in as little as 30 minutes.

Citroën has deliberately pursued a policy of making its battery packs more compact and lighter, and hence more affordable, with recent research** showing that the ë-C4 can cover ‘1,000km’ (621 miles) quicker than its rivals thanks to its efficient use of energy and rapid charging capability. This ‘sustainable affordability’ approach means you can enjoy zero emission driving and a BIK tax rate of just 2%.  The P11D price starts at £32,355.

Be inspired by travelling in comfort

Citroën’s legendary reputation for excelling at building comfortable vehicles continues with the ë-C4. Thanks to progressive hydraulic cushions fitted to the car’s suspension system, the ë-C4 can smooth away the worst our British roads have to offer: arrive at your destination with you and your family feeling calm and relaxed, ready to tackle whatever adventures lie ahead. Such a soothing ride is a perfect partner for the ë-C4 hushed, responsive, EV powertrain, making for an effortless and rewarding way to travel.

The ë-C4’s clever suspension works in conjunction with Citroën’s Advanced Comfort seats for the ultimate in relaxation on the move. With their broad cushions and cosseting embrace, you’ll be able to watch the miles pass by serenely. Rear seat passengers won’t feel left out either: Citroën has made sure all the seats are a generous width and there’s ample legroom, while a 380-litre boot with two-level floor provides plenty of storage for those typically large family items. In fact, every passenger gets their own dedicated storage space, and there are clever details such as a smart tablet holder.

A design that makes the right statement, inside and out

The ë-C4 is instantly recognisable, a car with a distinctive face and elements of coupe and SUV to its engaging personality. The chrome double chevron design runs the full width of the car at the front, merging seamlessly into double stacked lighting with Citroën’s latest LED Vision technology: daytime running lights, three-module headlamps and LED fog lights.

Pronounced wheel arches and big wheels give it that sturdy, go-anywhere look of an SUV, while the unusual design of the rear window glass and spoiler is a cheeky nod to Citroën’s design classics of old.

As you would expect of a Citroën, there’s plenty of scope for customising the ë-C4 to your own desires. Choose from six individual colours that can be complemented further with four colour packs: Glossy silver or black and Anodised Deep Red, with an exclusive Dark Chrome finish for e-Series models. These packs add a further dash of colour and contrast around the fog lights and Airbump pockets.

High specifications

The ë-C4 is available in You! and Max trim levels, and for a limited time only, the exclusive ë-Series trim. Even the entry level You! model is superbly equipped, with 18” diamond cut finish alloy wheels, the Advanced Comfort Suspension, auto headlights and rain sensing wipers and dual zone climate control fitted as standard.  Higher spec models feature a heated steering wheel and seats, a reversing camera and wireless charging amongst further items.

The ë-C4 has the same driver digital display and 10” touchscreen tablet as the C4 but with a dedicated display that shows the current range and the power indicator and energy flow. On the 10” touchscreen tablet you’ll see the stats, energy flow and the battery charging schedule screen. Moreover, when the car is being charged the screen shows the remaining time, the range and the battery level.

A further aspect of Citroën’s commitment to comfort and safety is the inclusion of a package of advanced driver safety measures amounting to 20 individual items. These range from a colour driver heads up display (HUD) that projects important information onto the windscreen and into the driver’s line of sight, to Adaptive Speed Control with Stop and Go that automatically manages the speed of the car, even in a traffic jam.
