Mountune upgrades Fiesta ST and Focus ST
Official Ford tuner announces power upgrades for the Fiesta ST and Focus ST
The Fiesta ST and Focus ST have been given power boosts by Mountune - Ford's official tuning partner. The kits, which can be fitted at any one of the 120 Mountune-appointed Ford dealers in less than 90 minutes, raise the Fiesta ST's power output from 179bhp to 212bhp and the Focus ST's output from 247bhp to 271bhp.
Costing £1,225 for the Focus and £599 for the Fiesta, the packages increase performance significantly, but because of Mountune's official status, both the Fiesta's and the Focus' three-year/60,000 mile warranty remain intact.
The Fiesta's 0-62mph time drops from 6.9 seconds to 6.7 seconds, while the Focus can sprint from 0-62mph in less than six seconds - more than half a second faster than the standard car. Torque outputs have swollen too - from 360Nm to 400Nm for the Focus and 240Nm to 320Nm for the Fiesta.
The Focus ST kit includes a cast alloy inlet duct (available in a silver or black finish), high flow air filter, larger intercooler and unique engine calibration. The Fiesta ST kit includes a remodelled air box with a secondary inlet, a high-flow filter and a tweaked ECU. The upgrade packs both go on sale in the UK from September.
