Geneva Motor Show

Welcome to our Geneva Motor Show hub page, scroll down for all our Geneva content...

The Geneva Motor Show is widely considered to be the most important motor show on the automotive calendar – an assertion that’s supported by the show’s glittering history of massive new car launches and crazy concept car reveals.

The first ever Geneva Motor Show was held in 1905, making the auto exhibition almost as old as the motor car itself. Over the years icons such as the Aston Martin DB7Jaguar E-TypeAudi Quattro and original Range Rover have all shone for the first time in Geneva.

Fortunately for petrol heads, Geneva still draws the biggest manufacturers to show off their latest production cars and concepts while harnessing the intensive press coverage to release new specs, performance figures and prices to the public. Being in Europe, the Geneva show is home turf for manufacturers such as BMWCitroenJaguar Land RoverVolkswagenRenault and Peugeot. However, Asian and American car makers are usually there in strength too, with NissanFordKiaToyota and Hyundai also regularly making headlines at the show.

The Geneva Motor Show itself is held in March and, unlike Paris and Frankfurt, it is held every year rather than every other. The exhibition is hosted at the Geneva Palexpo, a large convention centre located next to the Geneva International Airport – almost well thought out.

2020 marks the 90th Geneva Motor Show, and it opens to the public from the 5th to the 15th of March, with press days taking place on the 3rd and 4th. As always, we'll be there to bring you the latest news and pictures of each new car. Get all the latest here...
