Honda HR-V gets Black Edition treatment
New special Black Edition of Honda's HR-V SUV revealed, priced from £25,000
Honda has revealed a new special edition member of its line-up in the form of the HR-V Black Edition, which lines up alongside an extended run of CR-V Black Edition SUVs.
The HR-V Black Edition gets a dark makeover, building on standard models with black running boards, skid plates, a black front grille and mirror caps, plus 18-inch alloy wheels. Special edition leather upholstery is found in the cabin, alongside unique carpets.
Entry-level versions get a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine mated to a manual gearbox, priced from £25,000. The same car is offered with a CVT gearbox for £26,210, while a diesel option is priced from £26,820.
Alongside the new HR-V Black Edition, Honda has decided to extend the life span of the larger CR-V Black Edition, following on from its launch last year. It comes with similar tweaks, with black exterior styling plus dark trim tweaks in the cabin.
The CR-V Black Edition is available with a four-wheel-drive system, plus a choice of petrol and diesel engines alongside manual and automatic gearbox choices. Prices begin at £31,000 for the petrol powered, four-cylinder 2.0-litre i-VTEC model mated to a manual transmission. The 1.6-litre diesel option is priced from £34,400, and comes with an automatic gearbox as standard.
