The 1980s Arden AJ 4 is back! Tuned Jaguar XJ12 to be built in limited numbers

German tuning company, Arden, is set to build a limited production run of 235 tuned Series III Jaguar XJ12s

German tuning company Arden has announced that it will build a fresh production run of its AJ 4. Limited to 235 units, these tuned Series III Jaguar XJ12s will follow the same design brief as company’s first AJ 4, built in 1982.

The Krefeld-based firm's ugrades include a new front splitter, a custom set of eight-inch-wide alloy wheels, a redesigned bonnet ornament, sports suspension and black exterior trim. To finish the AJ 4 off, Arden will provide each model with a new interior tailored to the customer’s taste, even allowing for a modern infotainment system to be fitted in place of a conventional head-unit.

Arden will also give the old Jag’s engine an overhaul, increasing performance from 265bhp to 320bhp, with the addition of a sports exhaust, a fresh intake manifold and an ECU remap. Power is fed through a four-speed automatic gearbox (which Arden developed in conjunction with ZF) to the rear wheels.
