Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Touring specification announced
The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Touring is a more discreet version of the standard car, with a tiny lip spoiler in place of a huge rear wing
This is the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Touring, a more subtle version of the British firm’s performance saloon. Production is strictly limited to just 15 four-seat examples worldwide, which is inclusive of the original 300 units of the Project 8 that were initially planned.
Little has changed over the regular Project 8, with the only styling change being a more restrained aero package. The standard model’s adjustable carbon fibre rear wing has been replaced by a smaller lip spoiler, while its adjustable splitter has also been swapped for a fixed unit. Four unique paint finishes are offered, including British Racing Green and a muted Corris Grey Sati

It’s powered by the same supercharged 592bhp 5.0-litre V8 that develops 700Nm of torque. The 0-60mph time remains the same at 3.3 seconds but, due to the lack of downforce, the top speed of the XE Touring specification has been limited to 186mph.
The engine feeds its power through the same eight-speed automatic transmission to a four-wheel drive system, and the rest of the standard car’s track-focussed additions remain. This means the Touring specification also gets continuously variable dampers, an active electronic differential and a set of carbon-ceramic brakes.
