Lamborghini Aventador facelift spied with racy new look
Updates for the Lamborghini supercar look likely to make it even more outlandish
An updated version of the Lamborghini Aventador has been spotted by our spy photographers on test at the Nurburgring.
A new exhaust system can be seen on the back of the car, along with what looks like some all-new tail lights and a new rear bumper. Also at the back are some new air vents and a new diffuser, giving the Aventador an even more extreme look than before.
At the front, you can spot some new air intakes and a new bumper shape, although it’s much more subtle than the rear-end redesign. The camouflage on the car means it's hard to spot too many other changes for the facelifted car, but we can expect a power boost for the 6.5-litre V12. The current Lamborghini Aventador has an incredible 690bhp, but we’d expect a power boost to at least 700bhp for the new car.
Along with the power increase, there are likely to be a few changes to the chassis to make it better to drive, as well as an upgraded interior to bring the car up to date. The Aventador has been around since 2011, so is due to get some upgrades for the infotainment system in particualr, probably adding features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto - making sure owners are able to use their smartphones with their £260,000 supercar.
The price isn’t likely to change much, and we expect the new model to appear next year, possibly at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017.
