Lexus GS gets a facelift at Pebble Beach 2015
Lexus GS gets a facelift at Pebble Beach 2015 bring it in line with the rest of the Lexus line-up
Away from the classics, supercars and jaw-dropping concepts at this year's Pebble Beach and Monterey Car Week, Lexus has quietly announced a mid-life facelift for its GS executive saloon.
The most noticeable revision to the outside of the revised 2016 Lexus GS is the bold new full-length grille design – finally bringing the GS into line with Lexus’ other models in its range. There are also new front LED headlights while the rear lights and the bumpers have been refreshed, too. New exterior colours and alloy wheel designs also make an appearance.

Lexus has also added its Safety System+ to GS models. It combines a Pre-Crash Safety system with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive High Beam System, Traffic Sign Recognition and All-Speed Active Cruise Control.
For its Pebble Beach unveiling, Lexus chose to debut the car with a brand new power train. Badged GS 200t the car uses a 238bhp 2.0-litre turbo petrol, and joins the two petrol hybrid powertrains and the 5.0-litre V8 already used in the GS range. The 200t version won’t be offered in the UK though.
Although no pricing details have been announced in the UK yet, we expect to see the facelifted GS also appear at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show where more details should emerge.
