New Mazda MX-5 Cup and Design styling packs released
The Mazda MX-5 - world’s best-selling two-seater roadster - can now be fitted with new design packages costing up to £4,675
Mazda UK has released two new personalisation packages for its MX-5 models following the release of the new, 30th Anniversary Edition MX-5. Prices begin at £1,995 for the entry-level Cup Pack and increase to £4,675 for the top of the range Design Pack.
The cheaper of the two comes with a suspension lowering kit from Eibach, a stainless-steel exhaust system from Bastuck and 17-inch BBS wheels. However, if customers want the new rim size, they’ll need to own the model with the 2.0-litre, 181bhp engine.
At the peak of the price range, costing around a fifth of an entry-level MX-5, is the Design Pack. It includes all the styling upgrades of the Cup Pack, with the addition of a body kit created to compliment the new BBS wheels.
Inside the cabin, changes are made to the trim materials as Alcantara is added to the gear lever, handbrake, dashboard and door panels.
The new options are available for any current-generation Mk4 MX-5 and are fitted by an authorised Mazda dealer. Items included in the personalisation packages can be specified to the individual, and further options are available through the company.
The Japanese manufacturer has sold in excess of one million MX-5s worldwide, 134,000 of which have been sold to British buyers since its UK launch in 1990.
