Official Mercedes GLA Accessories revealed
Mercedes reveals exclusive alloy wheel designs along with exterior and interior accessories for the GLA
Following the reveal of the Mercedes GLA the German carmaker has revealed a Genuine Accessories pack for the baby SUV. Offerings include roof boxes, cycle or ski racks, new alloy wheel designs and AMG exterior trim.
The package will allow customers to tailor their cars to suit particular needs while aiding practicality in the process. A new feature is the addition of Aerostyle roof bars, which allows the roof box or cycle racks to be easily attached.
Some of the more sports-inspired options include offerings from the AMG branch. A new five-spoke alloy wheel design finished in grey or silver, graphite grey AMG sports stripes and AMG door sill panels plus front and rear bumpers are offered.
Another feature available for the GLA – which first debuted on the Mercedes A-Class in 2012 – is the drive kit Plus for the iPhone. The system allows seamless integration of the iPhone with the car, with audio and navigation controls able to be control via the phone.
Models in the GLA range include the 200 and 200 CDI, which are powered by 154bhp 1.6-litre petrol and 134bhp 2.1 diesel engines respectively. The GLA 250 and 220 CDI come with a more powerful 208bhp 2.0-litre petrol or 168bhp 2.1-litre diesel, and can be specced with Mercedes’ optional 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
Pricing for the individual elements of the accessories pack has yet to be announced. The GLA is set to arrive in showrooms later this year with prices starting from £25,850 and rising to around £43,000 for the range-topping GLA 45 AMG variant.
