Mercedes E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet range expands with new E350 variants

Mercedes adds new E 350 powertrain to the E-Class 2-door range, with prices starting from around £50,000

Mercedes has expanded its E-Class range with the addition of the new E 350 to the Coupe and Cabriolet line-up. Prices start at £44,750 for the Coupe and £49,246 for the Cabriolet.

The new E 350 features an electrified 2.0-litre petrol engine, fitted with Mercedes’ EQ Boost tech. EQ Boost uses a 48-volt belt-driven starter/alternator which adds 14bhp to the car’s total power output, bringing the total to 295bhp and 400Nm of torque.

The Coupe dispatches the 0-62mph sprint in 5.9 seconds, whilst the Cabriolet manages it in 6.1 seconds. Both models are electronically limited to 155mph, and both models achieve fuel economy figures of around 40mpg.

E 350 Coupe and Cabriolet come as standard with keyless-go, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats, 19-inch alloy wheels and ambient lighting in a choice of 64 colours.

Optional packages include Mercedes’ £2,395 Premium package which adds wireless phone charging, a 360-degree parking camera and adaptive LED headlights. Also available is Mercedes’ Driver Assistance package, priced at £1,695, which adds active brake assist, adaptive cruise control, speed limiter and evasive steering assist.

For £695, customers can spec the “Night” package. This adds 20-inch alloy wheels and black detailing on the bumpers and grille.
