<span>The Mercedes E-Class is an executive saloon that rivals the the Jaguar XF, BMW 5 Series and Audi A6. Unlike its sportier rivals, the E-Class has always taken towards the more comfortable approach.</span>
The E-Class is available in saloon, estate, and three-door coupe and convertible bodystyles. There are two trim lines available in SE and AMG Line form, with two AMG models at the top of the range.

<span>The Mercedes E-Class is still good to drive, it just can't really compete with the BMW 5 Series if you're passionate about handling. Instead, it focuses on comfort and refinement, suppressing wind and tyre noise well.</span>

The Mercedes E-Class is well equipped with all models coming with leather seats, climate control and Mercedes' COMAND infotainment system.

<span>Five adults can easily sit comfortably in the E-Class thanks to the generous amounts of leg and headroom on offer. The rear middle passenger still has to contend with a large transmission tunnel though, as with the E-Class' rival
<span>The Mercedes E-Class has 540 litres of boot space, which is more than both the Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series. Strangely, 60:40 split-folding rear seats are only available as an option.</span>
