‘It’s Car Care Week, so head outside and show your motor a little love’

If you can’t drive your car, editor-in-chief Steve Fowler thinks you should wash it instead. When you're done, send us a pic and we’ll print the best

We may not be able to get out and enjoy our favourite car on our favourite road right now, but one thing we can do is something we may well have been putting off for a while.

To coincide with our Car Care Special, we’ve designated this week Car Care Week. So join us as we head out onto our driveways – taking social distancing into account, obviously – and use some of the kit recommended to make our cars look as good as new.

Many of the products we’re recommending are available online and can be safely delivered to your door. Our product reviews section has handy links to where you can buy them.

And don’t stop when you’re done. We’d like to see pictures of your clean cars, so either email them to us at mail@autoexpress.co.uk or put them on social media, tag us, and use the hashtag #carcareweek. We’ll print some of the best pictures in a few weeks.

Although driving is (quite rightly) strictly limited to essential journeys only at the moment, we’ve been banking first drives of important new cars so we can continue to provide content with our verdicts on important new models in the coming weeks.

For example, our review of the new Audi A3 coincides with Audi lifting the embargo on driving impressions for this crucial new model.

We talk about the Audi A3, Car Care Week and much more on the new Auto Express podcast this week. If you haven’t listened yet, you can download it via your favourite podcast provider and hear host Vicki Butler-Henderson trying to keep me and the team under control! There’s a new episode every week, so download, listen in and, as always, let us know what you think!

These are the best car care products on the market right now...
